So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I've had the great pleasure to have met your mom over the last number of years. It was very evident, when she talked about her boys and her late husband, the love she had for you all! Sincere condolences to all the family.

To Jonathan, Harley, Mitchell , and the family.
Over 40 years ago we met Anne at the Miller Center, working on teams together, starting our families, and starting the original Rumoli Club.
So many memories, laughs, and life experiences shared. Anne was a very talented and creative person, a skilled OT, a loving Mom, and wife, and along with Dave, became part of the beautiful memories of our Rumoli circle of friends. Heartfelt sympathy to her boys, her love for you is a beautiful legacy.

I have many happy memories of Anne through friendship and work! I’ll be forever thankful for all the happy hours Josh spent with the Sheppard’s! He was treated like family. Anne and I shared visions and real efforts to bring OT services to schools. We’ve shared vacation times together and it was at Anne and Dave’s that I met Greg and my life changed! Love to the boys and sincere condolences.

Dear Jonathan, Harley (Emily & grandson Owen), and Mitchel: We knew your mom (and your dad) very well back in the day. We visited your mom almost two years ago at her home in Harbour Grace. We planned to only drop in for few minutes but ended up having tea, staying for hours, sharing memories and stories. She was very good at keeping your father's legacy alive. Both Anne and Dave were beautiful people. We are so saddened that they are now both gone. Our hearts go out to you. Keep your mom safe in your memories.

Mitchell, Harley and Jonathan and all of Anne's family, we were saddened to hear of her passing. She was a larger then life person and it's hard to believe the witticisms, that smile and twinkle are gone but definately will not be forgotten. A force of nature such as Anne was lives on in the lives she touched and influenced, in the wonderful memories she created for others in her brief time on this planet. Farewell Anne.

I worked at the Children's Rehab for almost 40 years--and of all the managers/bosses I had--she was head and shoulders THE BEST.
Always fair........and most importantly to me, she was always "respectful". No one did something "stupid"-----she'd say "y'know, there might be a better way to do that". Her being respectful to staff--led to her being very well respected.
I phoned her less than a month ago to tell her just that. I'm so glad that I did. Rest easy, Boss Lady.

My sincere condolences to Anne’s family and friends. Anne was an occupational therapy colleague from my arrival in the province in 1985. She was quick to extend assistance to me in my new role and was one of the first to invite myself and my children to her home. Anne was an innovator and a strong advocate for the value of occupational therapy, especially for children and their families. She was a leader in the profession in the province and was not afraid to forge new paths. She chaired the planning committee for the first national occupational therapy conference in Newfoundland and Labrador which was a great success.Anne was never afraid to move into a new area of practice, including private practice, and contributed much to the growth of the profession in the province.
I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. Anne will be remembered as a strong and effective occupational therapist and a warm and compassionate person.

As an early friend of Mitchell's, visiting the Conner- Sheppard home in Harbour Grace was something out of a childhood dream. A big blue house with seemingly endless rooms, behind each door a different treasure, toy or oddity to be amazed by. A tree house to escape to, a rec room out of ear shot, and an endless amount of new experiences thanks to Dave and Anne's lovingly relaxed parenting style. Compared to my own childhood home, the Conner - Sheppards always offered an escape for the burdens of a 13 year old. Meeting Anne for the first time was a little intimidating. She did not present as the Joan Cleaver mother type such as my own. She was not the over bearing or over inquisitive type about the who what when where of our activities, but rather gave us the freedom to make mistakes and make our own choices - for better or worse. I grew more on the weekends visiting the Conner - Sheppards. Always learning something - for better or worse :). Through Anne's connection to Quebec, I was introduced to -real- maple syrup for the first time. Never ever even knowing that Aunt Jemima's wasn't actual maple syrup until the one fateful morning in Harbour Grace - pancakes and Quebec maple syrup ( from the can) for breakfast. So thanks Anne - for everything. I would be a totally different person without you and your son's friendship and generosity. <3

I always considered Anne to be one of the smartest persons I knew. We worked together at the Department of Education, when she was at the Children's Rehab Center and when she was in private practice. I loved seeing her come, in her sports car, to visit us when we were in Broad Cove and especially loved her surprise visits in St. John's. Anne was an exceptional occupational therapist and one of the best people I have known.

Jonathan, Harley, and Mitchel, I am so sorry to hear about this. Your mom was a great friend and mentor to me when I was young and I loved spending time with her, your dad, and you boys. She always treated me as more than the papergirl/babysitter - I was considered family. She loved you with all of her being and I know you feel this loss deeply. Thinking of you all at this incredibly difficult time.
