Passed peacefully away at Lion's Manor, Placentia on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, Shirley Marie Barnes of Harbour Grace, age 85 years. Predeceased by husband: Peter; parents: George and Edith Spurrell; brothers: Heber, Don, and Leonard; sisters: Louise Crocker, Elsie Martin, Effie Pynn, Betty Knight, and Dorothy Oates. Leaving to mourn, son: Jim (Rae), two grandchildren: Noah (Noelle) and Halle; special people who provided support to Shirley in her later years: Jackie and Gary, Don, Ada, Jerome, Bill and Mary, and Philomena; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation for family and close friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace, on Thursday, March 16 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 17 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Harbour Grace.
