Obituary of Lorne King

With more lives than a cat, Lorne King of Perry’s Cove passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers, St. John's on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the age of 74 years. Predeceased by parents: Alexander and Annie, sister: Sabina. Leaving to mourn, two sons: Jason (Amanda) and Chris; daughter: Robyn King; six grandchildren: Madalyn, Scarlett, Savannah, Taylor, Evangeline, and Anneliese; six great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Emmett, Finley, Hailey, Mason, and Kaiah; brother: Woodrow (Carol, deceased); also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lorne was born in Perry’s Cove and grew up in Carbonear. He was as tough as they come being the last man standing, but was always first to give you the shirt off his back, especially if it was for the kids. He loved his grandkids dearly. Special thank you is extended to Dr. David Hood for always being there for Lorne and family, and for all the many things done outside the normal “Doctor” role. Lorne always lite up when talking about Dr. Hood. Interment in the family plot with his mother and father at Bethany United Cemetery, Carbonear on Friday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life to follow at Bethany United Church Hall, Carbonear.
