Woodrow and Family,
We are so sorry to learn of Lorne's passing. We have many beautiful memories of Lorne, as our longtime neighbour, and lifelong friend. He was so good to our girls when they were young. Lorne was gifted with generosity and kindness, he had a "heart of gold". We were happy to visit Lorne in recent years at the home in Carbonear and Pleasantville Towers. May he rest in peace.
Rosemary and Jim Burden

I remember the games Lorne, Woodrow and all the gang over around grassy lane area would play. How all the girls loved him. He was someone that Carol and myself would mention when we met on our visits. I often thought about visiting him but didn't do it. Sorry now that I didn't. Rest in Peace Lorne.

Never had the Pleasure of meeting Mr King but if he’s anything like Jay then he was one outstanding guy, a fisherman at Heart and would absolutely do anything for you. So honoured to Be a Friend to Jay and his family.
Like Jay said, “save some trout for him”, at least the small
Ones hehe
Love The Blair’s

I met Lorne many years ago (in the 60"s) when I was a music student of his mother, Mrs. Annie King. I lived on Grassy Lane near the Trade School and went to the Salvation Army school (a long walk). Mrs. King would have me come to her house after school on my lesson days and wait for her to get home from work to have my lesson, instead of taking that long walk twice. That's where I met Lorne. He and Woodrow would get home from school shortly after I arrived. They were always very kind to me. Many years later I met Lorne again when he was a resident at Carbonear Long Term Care and I was The Salvation Army chaplain. I would stop by and see him every time I visited the home. We talked about his mother and how hard she worked after his father passed away. To Woodrow and the other members of his family, I wish my sincere condolences. I know these last years have been hard for him. I pray that he is at peace. God Bless you. Wesley Rowe

So sorry to hear of Lorne's passing, He was a great buddy when we were growing up and it was a sad day when he left for Ontario. My best memories were of our time spent together trouting in Lilly Pond but there are many more that I will always hold dear in my memory. My condolences to his family.

Harry, you were his best of buddies. He talked about you all the time my whole life. It was his life goal to get back to the rock. On Thursday before I left for Ontario me and Dad(his ashes) stopped at the Lilly Pond and had a beer.
Thanks for the condolences.
