To Albert, Daisey, Darren and Judy. I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have many fond memories of your Mom and Dad growing up. My children used to call her Aunt Joan as I lived next door for a couple of years after I came back to Victoria in 1994. I know she was my Mother’s best friend. They had so many good times and meals together I found a picture of them with Katherine that I felt I should post. Remember the good times and rest assured she is at peace now. Deepest condolences. My deepest condolences to the family,I worked with Joan for years at main street restaurant and she was a beautiful soul, took me under her wing from day 1..every time I ran into her she’d have a big smile on her face! She will be deeply missed and her memory cherished!❤️

I am so sorry I can’t visit or attend her service because of the flu . I remember Joan fondly . She was like a big sister to me. I always thought Joan could do anything from piercing ears , cutting my hair to being a great cook . I just thought she was good at everything . I admired everything about her . She will be missed by many .

To Daisy, Darren, Judy, and family: May the good memories and love you have for your mother comfort you during this difficult time. Aunt Joan was a lovely, kind, gentle woman who was loved by many. I have great memories of my visits to her house on Boxing Day every year with all the family. Her baking and cooking couldn’t be beat and she always made you feel welcome. I enjoyed chatting with her at Main Street Restaurant too when I was out in Carbonear for a visit. She was always busy and hard-working, but found time to catch up on the latest news with me.
