Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2022, Betty King of Perry’s Cove, age 83 years. Predeceased by husband Edward L.; parents: William J. and Catherine Penney; sister: Shirley (Vivian) Hiscock; brothers-in-law: Ron Walker, Harold Noel, Mike Giroux, Fraser King, Reuben King, Jim King, and Bob King; sister-in-law: Phoene Mae Swain. Leaving to mourn, son: Ed (Carolyn); three grandchildren; Stephen, Michael, and Max; five brothers: Stephen (Nora), Michael (Jeanette), Kenneth (Lynn), Greg (Denise), and Jim ; five sisters: Robyn Walker, Sandra Noel, Isabelle (Doug) Sheppard, Jennifer Giroux, Kate (Mel) Clarke; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Snelgrove, Gladys King, and Edith Swain; also, a large number of other relatives and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.; 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove. Interment in Perry’s Cove United Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Riverside United Church, Salmon Cove.
