Hello to everyone and especialy to pop (cecil murray) a blasy from the past. well you have to love modern technology. ironic enough i had found the funeral home website last evening as had found a situation of someone else passing and had looked through it.. i says well i wonder of nan and pop is on this thing.. and sure enough. here is pop. that photo is clipped from the aniversary photo. there is more photos around im sure that others can upload and he had passed prior to modern usage of digital photos.. he lived a long time and will most likely outlive all of us. he had a great sense of humor and lived days to the fullest. he was a smart man always making things or repairing items. pure genious for the concepts of technology for his timeframe. a good man indeed so. he says that the reason he was able to live so long was because the words of the bible were so true to him and also how much he enjoyed to ride a bysicle, which he did up until he was even into his 80's.. he was in decent shape for an older feller.. he was not ready for the home. but he was going nowhere with out she. another legacy in it self. he was mechanicaly inclied and could as a newfoundland term ' put the arse in the cat ' we say. loved his boat and over around the warf. puttin a bit of fish on the flake. play the jig. ye never heard it the same unless it come off the floor of the back kitchen long ago in the day. invent. ever see what he made out of javex bottles. amazing really. the modern technical term is a vaught and used for generation of wind power. he conceptualized this as mechanical movement to my memory back in my childhood and early 80's to see them spin in the wind. was quite amazing. he had the right idea. so as for me im now age 45. im doing ok however did have a complication of injury to the right side of my head as something had burst in 2013. doctors are tight lipped and i have a problem with my ear on the same side as well. but im in good spirits. presently living in newbrusnwick with my girlfriend. it is day to day. more sunshine than rain. but technology is a nice thing. websites like this. so there you go.. pop in and say hello to skipper we say. how is ye today. did ya check the mail. how is oral roberts doing. he says hello and sends you lots to read (-: so anyways ever hear my impression of marcie as it is the same if you would hear it. so yes marcie maid what is it.. look ceice. look the dog is gone off whit the mop again. oh indeed how the dog would play. big ol busker. he would jump and take the mop. then go find you because he was not supposed to have it. oh the game they would have. pop and the dog to get the mop. but yes. this was funny as well.. where did all the mops come from. grand mother says. look at this one. thats not mine. what do you mean he says.. and sure enough this would be the dog coming up the road with a mop in his mouth. 17 mops they found around the yard once.. amazing. the dog would find them from anywhere and bring them around for a chasie game.. but thats the way it was. fish on the flake. bit of tea in the back kitchen. second home as such over to nan and pops. over on your bike. marshmello cookies. he would be out in the yard on a nice day with the acordian. jig and the tune. dog running around wanting to play with the mop. someone show up the once. the old house was the nerve center of the murray clan. if you was not home. chances are ye was 'over to the house' skipper over onthe warf gone to check the mail. back the once with some fish and a bag of hard tack from clarkes. comical.. oh you never seen this one.. so one day he put nans hat on the dog. the dog went for a drive over to check the mail. so anyways someone pulls up from behind. thinking of course to say hello to nan.. and to this suprise. this is busker. he did this a couple times and people laughed so hard they had a pain in the ribbs for days at a time. they could see the hat on the other side of the headrest and moving and such and thinking it was she.. but it was infact busker when you would go to the window. it was so priceless. because it would be common for anyone to say hello to nan over by the postoffice. everyone checks the mail daily. it was so very funny to see. busker dressed up as nan with the hat sat in the passenger seat of the car. oh my god is was so funny. but anyways thats that for today. the grave site is a bit far away up in on the ridge. i say this one tho.. goes back a fiew years.. one night i was thinking of nan and pop after gone to bed and such had come to mind as it would.. woman says kenny you hear that. kinda what is it. she gets up and the door to the outside had blown open. rarely this could or would happen. strange but it is true. im sure if anyone went to heaven it was surely nan and pop. regular church people as well. had their own reserved seat where they would sit. they were popular people and had many many friends over a lengthy lifetime. both had very large funerals. packed house was an understatement according to the funeral director. a very well known couple. marcie and cecil. thats just the way it t'was. amen to that.

Poppy, you will never be lonely again...it's a happy day in heaven. Take good care of each other up there. Many loving and fond memories of childhhood days. You can shed tears that he is gone Or you can smile because he has lived You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left Your heart can be empty because you can't see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. written 1981 David Harkins 1959 - Silloth, Cumbria, UK

To all of the Murray family: On behalf of all of the Moores family, may I express my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. As you are aware, our families are related through my grandmother, Lavinia Murray, and over the years both your mother and your father were frequently welcomed visitors to our home. Personally, I found Cec to be a kind, quiet, easy going person and a true gentleman. We both showed each other the finest respect and mutual friendship. I am sorry to hear of his passing and ask that you accept my genuine sympathies.

To our family, I was so saddened to hear of poppy's passing. He was truly a sweet man who lived a long and joyeous life. I'll always remember bangin on the organ while he played the accordian and running up to Noel's for a lunch with my pants falling down because I had so much change in my pockets from Poppy. He will truly be missed by many but forgotten by none. So sorry I can't be there in this time of sorrow but my heart, thoughts, and prayers are there. Sheena Galway Red Deer, AB
