Obituary of James J. 'Jimmy' Sullivan

SULLIVAN, James J. 'Jimmy' - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, September 27, 2010, James J. 'Jimmy' Sullivan of Harbour Grace, age 84 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Mary Catherine; sisters: Gertrude, Veronica, Agnes, Bridget and Mary; brother: Patrick; nephew: Ignatius Fahey. Leaving to mourn, wife: Loretta; one daughter: Rose Marie (Peter) Altmayer, Kitchener, ON; five sons: Keith, Peter and John, all of Kitchener, ON, Jimmy Jr., Guelph, ON and Will, St. John's; three grandchildren: Kaitlynn, Nicholas and Alexander; brother-in-law: Bill (Roma) Lilly, Harbour Grace; sister-in-law: Jean Reddy, Harbour Grace; nieces: Jean Marie (Andrew) Peddle, Delores Delaney and Marie (Keith) Skinner; nephews: Billy (Marie) Fahey and Michael Fahey; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral mass to take place on Friday, October 1 at 10:30 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the James J. 'Jimmy' Sullivan Memorial Fund. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
