Obituary of Augustus Ash

ASH, Augustus 'Gus' - Passed peacefully away at his residence on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, Augustus 'Gus' Ash of Carbonear, age 68 years. Predeceased by father: Arthur and sister: Iva Green. Leaving to mourn, wife: Cora; two daughters: Beverley (Glen) Trickett, Broad Cove and Denise (Jonathan) Pederson, Regina, SK; mother: Elizabeth Ash, Clarke's Beach; two grandchildren: Hayley and Caleb; two brothers: David (Marilyn), Mount Pearl and Gord (Debbie), Victoria; two sisters: Lina (Sidney) Payne and Gloria (Norman) Peddle, both of Heart's Content; brother-in-law: Eric Green, Heart's Content; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 10:30 a.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Gus Ash Memorial Fund.
