BUTT, Garfield - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, Garfield Butt of Victoria, age 72 years. Predeceased by parents: Gordon and Mabel; brother: Ellison; sister: Phyllis; father-in-law: Howard Bailey; mother-in-law: Edith Bailey and brothers-in-law: Rev. Edward G. Bailey and Lester Snelgrove. Leaving to mourn, wife: Louise (nee Bailey); four brothers: Eben (Mildred), Calvin (Olive), Gordon and Kordel (Yvette), all of Victoria; three sisters: Cynthia (James A.) Clarke, Dorothy (Lloyd) Burgess and Donna (Gary) Penney, all of Victoria; brothers-in-law: Ray Evely, Victoria and George (June) Stanford, St. John's; sisters-in-law: Olive Butt, Victoria, Geneva Norris (nee Bailey), Clarenville and Gertrude Snelgrove, St. John's; step-mother-in-law: Joyce Bailey, Grand Falls-Windsor; twenty-eight nieces and nephews; thirty grand-nieces and grand-nephews; special friend and helper of Garfield: Winnie Parsons, Victoria; also a large number of cousins and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Friday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Victoria. Interment in Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Garfield's memory may be made to the Garfield Butt Memorial Fund.
