I was an altar boy for Fr. Linus at Sts. Peter & Paul parish in Harbour Main. I managed to contact Fr. Linus by phone in 2009 and so glad I did. When I was in grade 4 at St. Joseph’s elementary I recall he came to our school a few times looking for altar boys, he would ask in the classroom but somehow always skipped me and I wanted to be an altar boy. After a number of trips to the school and getti g overlooked I marched over to his residence in Harbour Main and expressed my disappointment that I wasn’t an altar boy. Fr. Linus’ face lit up with delight and he told me to be in the sacristy for The next Sunday mass. Much to my delight I was there and did that for 6 years. I enjoyed every minute serving for Fr. Linus Coady and my heart was broken when he was moved from Harbour Main. I think of him often, I know he is watching over us all. He was God’s blessing to us indeed.

HiFamily members and Friends of Fr.Lenius ! So sorry about his death but he died the way he lived.. I remember my first assigment to Grand Falls back in 1959. I was a very young nun... Lenius was stationed there then,. And I remember when we would go out to the Cathedral for Mass at 6:30a.m.He would always be there on his prideau praying before Mass for at least a whole hour.I remember saying one day to a sister friend of mine.. his knees are imprinted on the predue that he always used. I have very fond memories of a beautiful priest, a prayer filled priest.Blessings to all the family and his close friends. I never got to know him as a close friend as I was a very young nun and they made sure that wouldn't happen ! . But I was blessed just knowing him and his closeness to the Lord.
