SOPER, Winnifred M. - Passed peacefully away at her residence on Friday, March 23, 2012, Winnifred M. Soper of Carbonear, age 91 years. Predeceased by husband: Charles R.; parents: Wilson and Priscilla Colbourne; son-in-law: Ron Dawson; brothers: Bramwell, James, Reuben, Ross and Norman; sister: Mabel. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Carol (Gordon) Squibb, Carbonear, Beverly Dawson, Bay Roberts, Lillian (Paul) Oliver, Harbour Grace and Lorraine (Russ) Thomas, Mount Pearl; three sons: Howard, Charlie (Joan) and Bruce (Judy), all of Carbonear; fourteen grandchildren: Joanne (David), Steven (Jillian), Stephanie (John), Adam, Shannon (Donna), Michael (Karen), Andrew (Leanne), Megan, Erin, Ryan, Hilary, Laura, Aaron and Joel; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Stella Wiseman and Meita Fudge, both of Long Island; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Bethany United Church Building Improvement Fund.
