BUTT, George E. - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex, St. John's on Saturday, October 31, 2009, George E. Butt of Carbonear, age 94 years. Predeceased by parents: Joseph and Margaret B., brothers: Ben, Will, Chesley and Charles; sisters: Leah, Maude, Florence and Doris. Leaving to mourn, wife: Jessie M.; one son: Roy W. (Gloria), St. John's; two daughters: Patricia (Raymond) Mills, Grand Falls-Windsor and Margaret (Bob) Mills, Whitby, ON; six grandchildren: Trudy, Kimberly (Rodney), Wanda (Guy), Nancy (Peter), Chad (Margaux) and Matthew; eight great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Nathan, Jared, Timothy, Gregory, Kailee, Macy and Hudson; special nephew: Carl (Marie) Power, Moncton, NB; sisters-in-law: Eleanor Butt, Carbonear and Phronie (Gordon) Morris, Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Sunday, November 1 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, November 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, November 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in Calvary Pentecostal Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in George's memory may be made to Calvary Pentecostal Church, Carbonear.
