I'd like to send my heartfelt condolences to the family. I'm so sorry this is late, but I've been going through some health issues and just found out about Mrs Gladdens passing. She was a wonderful person, always smiling and so warm. I know she has left you all with special memories as she has for me also. Lila Janes

Clifford; Donald and Russell: I remember your Mom and Dad so well having known them both for many years through amateur radio. I visited with them many times at their home on Gambier St. and also Saddle Hill. Your Dad and I would always have a little verbal tug of war about the power company and the telephone company. My deepest sympathies on your Mom's passing. She was a lovely person.

To the Robinson Family and Judy Simmonds; It would be remiss of me not to remember you in my condolences - you were family to Gloria in fact if not in name, and she valued your friendship greatly. Your loss is as deep and profound as any, and my sympathies are with you all.

Dear Clifford, Donald, and Russell, We were very sad to hear that your Mom died on Wednesday past. Gloria was a wonderful person and a great friend of my Dad's. On Thanksgiving Monday, Dad, Leo and I drove to Carbonear to visit a few friends. We went to Charwood Manor, and the first person that we visited was your Mom. Dad had a great visit with her and others that day, and we are so very glad that we went around the bay. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, Strat Pike, Leo and Stephanie Harlick

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of Mrs. Gladden. She was always a dear friend to my mother Mabel Rorke. I remember Gloria visiting my Mom just a few hours before Mom died, and I was touched by the gesture. She was a fine lady, and she will be missed by the entire community.

To the Gladden family and to Gloria's "Newfoundland family": I have been hearing of "Auntie" Gloria, as she was so lovingly called, for many years and had the pleasure of meeting her and sharing a Thanksgiving meal several years ago. A wonderful lady indeed! She seems to have touched the lives of many people here in Newfoundland. She wore many hats: - friend, mentor, confidante and even a surrogate mother and grandmother! Her passing will leave a very large void in many lives here but perhaps not comparable to the impact she made on the same lives she touched during her life. My condolences to her sons and their families. Please take comfort in knowing that your mom was dearly loved by the people she took under her wing here. She will most certainly be missed! Barbara

To The Gladden Family; Mrs. Gladden, Gloria, was a truly fine lady and a great friend. It was my great luck to move in next-door up on the Saddle - the friendship, warmth, and loving advice she offered will be remembered always. I hope the knowledge of how many lives were touched by hers will be of some comfort in the difficult times ahead.
