DELANEY, Louisa - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, March 10, 2012, Louisa Delaney of Broad Cove, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband: John; son: Clarence; daughter: Lorraine; son-in-law: Jim Wareham; parents: James and Florence Whalen; sisters: Bernadette, Myrtle, Madeline and Maria; brothers: Ormond and Herbert. Leaving to mourn, five grandchildren: Lonnie (Wanda), Major Louise, Gloria (Mark), Capts. Jennifer (Bradley) and Curtis; four great-grandchildren: Jenna, Cameron, Caden and Brandon; daughter-in-law: Gloria Delaney (Norman), Job's Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Sunday 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. from Ocean View United Church, Broad Cove. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Broad Cove. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery, Broad Cove or to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund.
