SLADE, Garfield- Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, May 14, 2009, Garfield Slade of Salmon Cove, age 68 years. Predeceased by parents: Ernest and Mary Jane; infant brothers and sisters; brother: Maxwell. Leaving to mourn: wife: Adeline; one daughter: Sharon (Robert) Penney, Salmon Cove; one son: Ernest (Shawna), Bellevue; six grandchildren: Ian, Garfield, Barry, Cody, Gina and Kyle; one sister: Drucella Penney, Victoria; mother-in-law: Dorothy Snow, Carbonear; brother-in-law: Walter (Phyllis) Snow, South River; sisters-in-law: Grace (Gerald) Rose, Salmon Cove, Carol (Patrick) Harrington, Carbonear and Tina (Allan) Ross, Dundas, ON; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, May 16
at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. No flowers by request, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Garfield Slade Memorial Fund.
