POTTLE, Manuel - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, Manuel Pottle of Victoria, formerly of Flatrock and Labrador City, age 68 years. Manuel was a heart recipient for over twenty years. Predeceased by parents: Harrison and Julia; niece: Donna Best; father-in-law: Heber Best; sisters-in-law: Vera and Alma Jean. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife: Shirley; one daughter: Karen (Robert) Pottle-Fewer, Labrador City; one son: Kenneth (Pam) Pottle, Labrador City; two loving grandchildren: Laura and Victoria Bennett; two brothers: Clarence (Beulah, deceased), Labrador City and George (Kathy), Ontario; two sisters: Elizabeth (Ford) Crewe, Mount Pearl and Ella (Ed) Howell, St. John's; mother-in-law: Ruth Best, Glenbrook Lodge, St. John's; brothers-in-law: Ralph (Jean) Best, Foxtrap, Harvey (Lorraine) Best, Alberta and Adam Best Fort McMurray, Alberta; sisters-in-law: Rowena (Robert) Best, Portland, Oregon and Iris (Dale) Gach, Vancouver, BC; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. from Riverside United Church and Cemetery, Salmon Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Riverside United Church or a charity of one's choice.
