I am very sad to hear of Wes's passing. I delivered the Compass to him in 69 and 70 when he lived just down pass the marsh. I never left without a laugh or a smile. I have thought of him often over the years. My sympathy to family and friends.

Mary and Family. Its hard to explain the relationship that Wes had with our family. He was always around and always someone I had to visit when I was home. No one knows how many meals Mom gave him at our house. I would say him and Dad are swapping stories now. I'm happy to say he was a big part of my life. He will be missed. Bryce Sellars

To Aunt Mary: Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking a lot about you today.Wes was such a fun man and we really looked forward to seeing you both when we camped in Blackhead during the past few summers. One of our fondest memories of Wes is last summer when he took us around for 2 days looking for capelin. We went to every beach from Broad Cove to Ochre Pit Cove until we found some.He was so proud to show us how to salt and dry them on his flake.Aunt Mary, we want you to know that we thought a lot about Wes and we are really going to miss him.We love you very much and we hope we can help you get through this difficult time. Love, your great-nephews, Tyler,Gregory, and Matthew Butt

Aunt Mary and family : So sorry I couldn't be there today as your morn the loss of a great man, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. From what I knew of Wes he was a kind, caring and gentle man, always friendly and never without a smile. I remember being a little girl not a part of your family but always feeling welcomed, I remember Wes's kind face and his many jokes with me about bake-apple picking. Aunt Mary I know you are deeply saddened at this time but take peace in knowing that Wes loved you very much, and you will one day be reunited in the arms of our heavenly Father.
