STANFORD, Harold B.- Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home, Clarke's Beach on Friday, October 31, 2008, Harold B. Stanford of Broad Cove, age 90 years. Former CNR Employee. Predeceased by wife: Pearl, July 2008; parents: Edward and Cecilia Stanford; brothers: Arthur and Leslie; sisters: Doris Stanford, Bessie Moores, Myrtle Sellars and Viola Baggs. Leaving to mourn: two sons: Ches (Brenda), Clarenville and Ray (Mary), St. John's; four grandchildren: Michelle (Rodney), Steven, Keith and Nancy; four great- grandchildren: Jalen, Marcus, Anna and Daniel; sisters-in-law: Sarah Sellars and Vera Stanford, both of Carbonear; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay with visitation hours on Saturday, November 1st from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral Service to take place on Sunday, November 2nd at 1:30 p.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the North Shore Central Ambulance Fund.
