PECKHAM, Walter J. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, July 31, 2008, Walter J. Peckham of Victoria, age 86 years. Predeceased by his wife: Annie (Cranford); parents: John and Julia (Curnew) Peckham; Brothers and Sisters. Leaving to mourn: 3 daughters: Julie (Jerry) Deering, New Harbour, Nancy (Ches) Dawe, Bedford, NS, Marie (Noel) Kavanagh, Carbonear; 3 sons: Barry (Betty), Blaketown, Walter (Joanne) and Neil (Heather), both of Trenton, ON; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR on Friday, August 1 after 7:30 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, August 3 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church and Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the TCP Health Foundation.
