EMBERLEY, Paul - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, Paul Emberley of Bay De Verde, age 94 years. Predeceased by: wife: Lydia; daughter: Catherine North; sons: Victor and Norman; grandson: Rickie; brothers: Philip, Frank, Joseph and Stephen; sisters: Stella, Sarah Jane and Annie; son-in-law: Bren North. Leaving to mourn, two sons: Eric (Maudie) and Alfred, both of Bay de Verde; seven grandchildren: Brett (Cavelle), Chad (Andrea), Quinn (Mary Lynn), Norma, Joy, Denna (Terry) and Juanita (Kirk); six great-grandchildren: Brady, Amy, Christopher, Melody, Erica and Jacob; one great-great-grandson: Kaden; daughter-in-law: Marilyn Emberley, Lower Island Cove; sister-in-law: Evelyn Emberley, Western Bay; brother-in-law: Alfred (Shirley) Jacobs, Bay de Verde; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Wednesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Then resting at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Bay de Verde on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Bay de Verde. Interment in St. Barnabas Anglican Cemetery, Bay de Verde. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
