DELANEY, John C. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Sunday, October 9, 2011, John C. Delaney of Broad Cove, age 94 years. Predeceased by son: Clarence; daughter: Loraine Wareham; son-in-law: Jim Wareham; parents: John and Lucy; brothers: William and Malcolm; sisters: Annie Reid, Millicent King, Jennie Whalen and Lillian King. Leaving to mourn, wife: Louisa; five grandchildren: Lonnie (Wanda), Major Louise, Gloria (Mark), Capts. Jennifer (Bradley) and Curtis; four great-grandchildren: Jenna, Cameron, Caden and Brandon; daughter-in-law: Gloria Delaney (Norman), Job's Cove; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday: 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Tuesday: 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, October 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Ocean View United Church, Broad Cove. Interment in the United Cemetery, Broad Cove. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Ocean View United Church or to North Shore Central Ambulance.
