Master Greene was my teacher in 1968, 69 and 70 and as a substitute at Jackson Walsh. My family and I visited him in 1990 when I returned home for a couple of weeks. He certainly had memories of me as being a little more difficult than most. I admired the man immensely. He was a quite strong family man with a great desire to share his knowledge with others. He shared values long since lost to our present school system. I wish his family peace and comfort and know he has heard the words of the Father, "Well done thy good and faithful servant enter onto the days of thy rest." I have know few who deserve it more.

Triffie, Fred and Yvonne; It is with a heavy heart that I learned of Mr Greene's passing. I always enjoyed my visits with him when I was home. I am fascinated with the "Amish" way of life and have visited them in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Mr Greene always wanted to hear my stories about the "People in Black." He was always a teacher, even in his later years. I took some motorcycle friends from Ontario to see him a couple of years ago and he even showed one of them how to play the Jews-Harp. My friends still talk about him. He always told me that he remembered Kevin and Pearl going to school but he could not remember me in his class. Maybe that's a good thing! There are many people over the years that effect your life in a good way. Mr Greene would definitely be high on my list. He will be missed. God Bless.

My deepest sympathies to all the family of Mr. Green. He was my teacher for most of my early years when what I learned from him would stay with me for the rest of my life. He was certainly a mentor to me, teaching me that education is a vital necessity in achiving success. I am more than proud to say that he taught me more than just textbook but taught me the true values of life. God has taken another one of my true heros home. May God be with you all during this difficult time.

To sister Tryphenia and family; Fred and Wendy. -Again we wish to express our deepest sympathy at this trying time. "R.W." was my 'schoolmaster', as indeed he was to generations at Western Bay and area. More than that he was my brother-in-law and a great friend. Often did we, during my earlier visits home, burn the midnight oil in lengthy discussion of things present and, to my particular enjoyment, those things past; sessions which always made me mindful of Oliver Goldsmiths' poem 'The Schoolmaster'. They were great times.

Aunt Triffie, Fred And Wendy: We all will miss a favorite uncle and are thinking of you at this time. The children were always excited to visit your home when we came out to see Dad, and Uncle Will paid extra attention to each of them, asking about their interests and school. He was also a very good friend of my father's, and Dad spoke of him often, even when Dad was very ill. I imagine they are having a grand chat now, maybe in the middle of a lush potato garden!! Our deepest condolences are with you.

Triffie Wendy and Fred, I am so sorry to read of "The Master's" passing. Western Bay has lost a renowned and remarkable member of the community and will be the poorer for it. Every voyage must reach port sometime and R.W. enjoyed a long and pleasant one. No doubt due to the fine First Officer and crew he had on board. I will miss his once again relating the tale of our fishing trip to Cliffty Pond many years ago. I regret being unable to offer my sincerest sympathy to you personally but know that I feel for you at this sad time. Cyril
