Obituary of Reginald 'Reg' Bursey

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the presence of his loving family, Reginald 'Reg' Bursey of Adam's Cove, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents: Flora and Wilbert; parents-in-law: Ethel and Frazer Wheadon. Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 52 years: Irene; daughters: Wanda (Trevor) Priddle, Tina Priddle, Lori (Robert) Murray, and Corrina (Dwayne) Dawe; grandchildren: Jonathon (Hannah), Kayla, Christopher, Shayna, Dylan, Karla, Chloe, and Joshua; sister: Lillian (Clifford) Tucker; brother: Clarence 'Bussey' (Ivy); brother-in-law: Roy Wheadon; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Lori Griffins NP and the 6th floor nursing staff, Carbonear General Hospital for their compassion and care. Also, a special thank you to Ray, Terri-Lynn, and Matthew of the North Shore Ambulance Service for the many trips to the ER department. Anyone that knew Reg (dad) knew how much he loved animals, especially his ducks. When the time came that he could not look after them, he always asked if they were fed and given a drink. At his request cremation has taken place. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Monday, October 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Reginald Bursey Memorial Fund, c/o Noel's Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
