Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, October 20, 2024 Phyllis F. Burden of Carbonear, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Ephraim; daughter: Lucy; grandson: Trevor and Jody; parents: Hayward and Effie Rideout; brothers: Lewis and Calvin; sisters: Josie and Charlotte (Ted), Rose, and Loretta (Ernest- deceased). Leaving to mourn, daughters: Shirley (Tony) Godinho, Elsie (Raymond) Vaters, Helen (Rick) Durnford, Dorothy (Bobby) Goodspeed, Rosalind (David) Ade, Olive (Albert) Rideout, Denise (Paul) Burke; sons: Ephraim Jr. (Anita), Reginald (Bernice), and George (Cindy); 16 grandchildren: Kelley (Jim), Kim, Joanne (Alvin), Nancy (Bill), Michael, Leanne (David), Phillip (Amy), Darrell (Kayla), Bill (Tammy), Jeffery (Shannon), Natasha (Greg), Andrew (Jessica), Jason (Megan), Christopher (Aura), Ken, and Samantha; 34 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Fred (Betty - deceased), Jim (Dorothy), Tim (Donna), and Ralph (Elizabeth - deceased); sisters: Audrey (Wayne), Flossie (Leamond), Marilyn (Paul), Lucy (Reginald - deceased), and Trudy (Andrew); sisters-in-law: Cecile and Elsie; brothers-in-law: Harry and Lester; companion: John Lahey; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
