Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, May 31, 2024, Jean Clarke of Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Hayward B; infant son: William Hayward; brothers: Arthur, Frank, Silas, Bill, Malcolm, and Edward; sisters: Rose, Floss, Annie, Grace, and Sophie. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Carolyn (Leo) Coombs; sons: Arthur (Judy), Bruce (Lois), and Howard (Tracy); grandchild: Brad (Chontell); very special niece, cousin, and friend: Beverly Coombs; also a large number of other relatives and friends. At the family’s request, there will be a private visitation and memorial service. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 835 Topsail Rd. Unit 107, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 3J6.
