Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on May 14, 2024, Donald Sparkes of Lower Island Cove, age 85 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Beulah Sparkes; sister: Jean (Lloyd) Leshane. Leaving to mourn, wife: Patricia; daughter: Kimberly; son: Jason (Sarah); grandchildren: Brooklyn, Caleb, and Abbigail; sisters: Belle Butt (Calvin) and Louise Snelgrove (Eric); nieces: Carol Ann, Wanda, Robinette, and Wendy; nephews: Barry, Robert, and Terry; special nephew: David (Karen); also a large number of other relatives and friends. Visitation at Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove on Sunday, May 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, May 20 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, May 20 at 2:00 p.m. from Salvation Army Citadel, Lower Island Cove.
