Obituary of S. Rolene McGettigan

It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Rolene McGettigan (nee Winsor) announce that she passed peacefully away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, age 60 years, after a brief illness. Predeceased by her father: Roland Winsor. Left to mourn are her beloved daughter and pride and joy: Melissa McGettigan; her loving mother: Joyce Winsor; siblings: Debbie Dawe (nee Winsor) and Darryl Winsor (Nancy); Melissa’s Dad: Bill McGettigan; as well as an enormous circle of friends and extended family. The family would like to give thanks to Dr. Balan and all the nurses and staff of the Health Sciences Centre ICU for their devotion and care to Rolene. A special thank you also to Anne Marie Quinn for being there for Melissa at the ICU during Rolene’s passing. Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, November 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, November 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, November 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
