Obituary of Vera M. Moores

Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Vera M. Moores of St. John's, age 97 years. Predeceased by husband: Frank; grandsons: Brandon Moores and Glen Jr. Moores; parents: George and Suzannah Evely; seven brothers; three sisters. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Marilyn (Dave) Ash, Mount Pearl; three sons: Harvey (Sheila) and Glenn (Frances), both of Freshwater, Carbonear, and David, St. John’s; eight grandchildren: Tina, Kim (Chris), Krista, Stephen (Lisa), David (Paula), Danielle (Roger), Jennifer, Nicole, and Sheldon (Elizabeth); eight great-grandchildren: Taylor, Maggie, Gavin, Ethan, Leah, Dylan, Brandon, and Logan; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Special thank you to the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their wonderful care and compassion. A private family visitation and Celebration of Life will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Dr. H.
