Obituary of John 'Jack' Bishop

It is with heavy hearts our family announce the passing of John ‘Jack’ Bishop at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, age 75 years. Predeceased by parents: Hayward and Bennett Bishop; siblings: Wilf, James, Bill, Nellie, Marg, Florrie, Hayward, Earl, Edwin, and infant sister Lorraine. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife: Donna; children: Jaime, Jessica (Dave), and Stephen (Michelle); step-son: Chad; grandchildren: Jack ‘Pickle Head’, Hayleigh ‘Princess’, Braylon ‘Big Guy’, Braxton ‘Little Guy’, Cole, and Sammy; sisters: Emma and Elva; all his in-laws that loved him as he loved them; special friends: Chip and Linda; also a large number of other relatives and friends. He was a great man who spent 38 years serving with great pride and dedication in the RCMP. John loved to paint, cook, build furniture and dearly loved to spend summers at our family home in Griquet on the Northern Peninsula. He was not only a great man, but a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be forever loved and missed by every one of them. His loss will forever weigh heavy on our hearts and he will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Monday, June 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A private burial will take place at a later date.
