Terry & Family. Our deepest condolences to you on the passing of your Father. He was one of my favorite teachers when he taught me in Twillingate back in the 1950’s. Some 50 years or more later I was at an Air Cadet function in Carbonear and he was in attendance and we met again. Terry when we worked together at NLHC I was not aware he was your father. Although your father is no longer with you your memories of him will last forever.

Beverly, Terry and family,
Please accept our sincerest condolences on the passing of your Father. He was a wonderful man who valued family, fun, integrity, commitment, and high moral standards. To lose him so soon after the passing of your Mother is difficult, but take comfort in the anticipation that the memories you cherish of both parents will eventually help diminish the feeling of loss and grief you are now experiencing. Yours is an exceptional family.

My deepest condolences to the Wareham family. Mr. & Mrs. Wareham were neighbours for 7 yrs. to my Mom (Grace Roberts) residing at Meadowcreek. She passed away in Nov. I thoroughly enjoyed our visits and chats. His memory and story telling was remarkable and always entertaining. I last visited him after Mrs. Wareham passed and went back a couple of weeks ago, only to hear he had moved to St. Pats. They are both reunited again with the Heavenly Father and have left you all with beautiful memories, all of which I am sure will bring you great comfort . It was truly a blessing for me to have met such a beautiful couple.

To the Wareham family:
I am sorry to read that Irving has passed away. He and Clara were a most compatible, professional, friendly and a caring couple. I recall the late Hudson Davis, a mentor of Irving, referring to a conversation he had with the late Rev. Dr. A.S. Butt. Hudson told Dr. Butt, who was living in Paradise at the time, “my, you will have been there twice.” Appropriate for the Wareham family. My sincere condolences.

To Beverly, Terry and all the Wareham Family
It is with great sadness that Glenda and I learned of Cousin Irving's passing. Irving was a very rich source of information on the Butt Family. His memory was phenomenal and his "stories" were always interesting. In recent years we maintained closer contact and would phone one another on occasion. He was genuinely interested in "family" and wanted to know how everyone were. I went trouting with him one time at Terra Nova. Though we failed to catch anything due to low water levels, the afternoon was well spent. Irving truly loved the outdoors, as we know. He appreciated nature and what it had to offer.
Our sincere condolence to his family. Rest in peace, cousin!

To the Wareham Family. My condolences to you on the passing of your dad. Mr. Wareham was one of my favorite teachers at James Moore High School. Being part of the first Grade 12 class at JMCH I took Geology and he was our teacher. He loved the subject and that made us love it as well. He took us on field trips to study rock formations (Bristol's Hope Beach) and was genuinely interested when we asked him questions about the rock layers we found. His smile and laugh brightened our classroom, it also showed how much he truly enjoyed being a teacher. Rest in peace Mr. Wareham, you taught us well!

To the Wareham family: I encountered and got to know Irving a bit at Bethany.
At some point in our Sunday morning chats I discovered he had once taught at Ladle Cove, the home of my maternal grandparents. Turns out he had taught my eldest Uncle. But in what seemed to me to be a mark of the man, Irving was still in touch with my Uncle all these years later and remained so until my Uncle died. How blessed was he and those like him who value past experiences, create and hold friendships and remain loyal to both.
As you give thanks for his life may God's peace be with you all.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your father- my neighbour while growing up in the Cove and occasional high school teacher.
I will remember Mr Wareham for his love of geography (especially rocks) and cameras, and, as a friend of my father. My dad often relayed tales of their many berry and trouting trips to Packs Pond! Those were the days!
Take good care,

Bev and Terry and family,
Both of your parents were good people. Mr. Wareham, dad’s fishing buddy R.I.P.
The last time I flew home to see dad in Crocker’s Cove, I asked him if he wanted to go anywhere. His eyes lit up with the chance to escape the house. “Gin, I want to go see Irving. I think I can walk up there”. It was the last walk dad and I took together.
Remembering the time your dad was in our basement sampling dad’s blueberry wine.Lol. They really enjoyed ‘across da barrens’! And, of course, your mom and dad, always went to church and both always at school. My favourite Geography teacher!
I am thankful for his sharing their trip to Egypt. The class went to Davis elementary projector room to see the slides. Since then, it is my dream destination. And I am smiling as I think of his jokes and stories in class. He always finished with tilting his weight and his heels lifted and he rocked slightly as he laughed in his deep voice. Too funny!
Mr. Wareham reminded me of my dad and their generation of the descent and ethical and less selfish. Your parents went through every item in their house to donate and help everybody they could in the community before selling their house. They even choose a new realtor to help both parties and when her partner suddenly died, said go take whatever is left in the house even the washer and drier to help restart her life. Do unto others…I still use Clara’s clothespins. True Christian people which in my mind means inside AND outside church doors. The first and last visit to your parents at Meadow Creek was the last time Gary was alive. The last walk with my dad, the last visit to anyone together with my Gary, was to see your dad.
I think you guys were blessed to have him and both your parents together for so long.
