Obituary of Thomas J. McCarthy

Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, April 28, 2023, Thomas J. McCarthy of Southside, Harbour Grace, age 94 years. Predeceased by wife: Marg; parents: Felix and Mary; brothers: Pat, Gerald, and Bill; sister: Pauline Dempsey. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Pauline (Vince) Hunt and Cathy (Terry) Parsons, both of Harbour Grace; son: Tom (Agnes), Carbonear; six grandchildren: Alicia, Shelly, Rebecca, Ryan, Amanda, and Nicole; nine great-grandchildren: Haley, Megan, Hunter, Jack, Emma, Amelia, Caleb, Max, and Reid; brother: Mike, Harbour Grace; sister: Mary, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of 4 North at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear for the love and care that they’ve shown to our Dad. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, May 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Private interment for Thomas and his late wife Marg to be held at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the TCP Health Foundation, 86 Highroad South, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A4.
