Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Saturday, November 19, 2022, Daphne Penney of Blackhead, age 84 years. Predeceased by husband: George; infant daughter; parents: William and Blanche Carnell; sisters: Belle, Liz, Nell, and Rose; brothers: Joe and Benson. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Fay (Rick) Short, Adam’s Cove and Sonja Clarke, Carbonear; son: Randy (Christine), Carbonear; seven grandchildren: Daniel (Melissa), Trevor (Jennifer), Jillian (Jon), Kari (Shawn), Katie (Jordan), Jason (Kristen), and Trent (Morgan); eight great-grandchildren: Thomas, Zoe, Penny, Chip, Nora, Myla, Ryann, and Eleni; sister-in-law: Daphne (Clarence, deceased) Cole, Victoria; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Tuesday, November 22 from 10:30 to 12:00 noon; 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.; 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Wednesday, November 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Western Bay North.
