Obituary of John Charles 'Jack' Slade

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's on Thursday, June 9, 2022, John Charles ‘Jack’ Slade of St. John's, formerly of Salmon Cove, age 83 years. Predeceased by son-in-law: Jamie Becker; parents: James and Maisie; brothers: David and George; sister: Ethel (Edward) Peddle. Leaving to mourn, wife: Vivian; daughter: Jennifer (Sonny), Florida; two grandchildren: Emily and Jacob; three sisters: Susie (Tom - deceased) Milley, Burnt Point, Cicely (William - deceased) Pretty, Dildo, and Maisie (Simon - deceased) Ricks, St. John’s; sister-in-law: Hilda Slade, Salmon Cove; members of the Milley family; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 27 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment in the United Cemetery, Burnt Point.
