Condolences to the family.
Gord gave invaluable experience and support for a project we completed in the town of Placentia in the early nineties which we affectionately called the great wall of Placentia that flood proofed the town. As the old bard himself said " A substitute shines as brightly as a king unless a king be by" Rip Gordon.

So sorry to hear of Uncle Gordon’s passing. I always loved when I was young and he would talk about the various construction projects he was on, I thought he had the best job in the world. I also recall fondly when your parents had the cabin on Nine Island Pond and we were neighbours, I loved sitting in on the conversations of the older folks. Take comfort in his long and fulfilling life and now a peaceful and well deserved rest.
Kindest regards
Steve Hillyard.

Sorry for your loss I knew him all my life. My Dad worked for him and he always spoke very highly of him!!! Much respect!!! I had many opportunities to chat with him at Church functions at his house and on the water and I gained much respect for him as well and his wife Evelyn. Then later years it was him and Ruth and I visited them often and they enjoyed life together. I loved dropping in and listening to his stories a brilliant man in my opinion!!! They both were great for each other. So sad to see him pass but also thankful for his 91 years!!! To his family Marilyn, Jacqui, Gordie, Ruth and families condolences to you all. Keep your great memories of him close. God Bless.
