Obituary of Ike Walters

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, December 10, 2021, George H. 'Ike' Walters of Harbour Grace, formerly of Port aux Basques, age 88 years. Predeceased by parents: George and Elsie; parents-in-law: George and Susie Stevenson; three brothers: Rupert (Louise), Gerald, and Earl (Mary); sister-in-law: Margaret (Chesley) Gosse; brother-in-law: Ronald Stevenson. Leaving to mourn, wife: Phyllis; one daughter: Denise (Gordie) Keeping, Port aux Basques; two grandchildren: Gina (Robert) and Myles; three sisters-in-law: Mariah Walters, Robinsons, Ruth LeDrew, Port aux Basques, and Elizabeth Stevenson, Harbour Grace; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Monday, December 13 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Harbour Grace. Proof of vaccination required for visitation and funeral service. Interment to be held at a later date at his hometown of Port aux Basques.
