Obituary of Isabel Martin

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, Isabel Martin of Grates Cove, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband: Henry 'Tom'; parents: John and Martha Cooper; sister: Myrtle; brother: David Cooper; brother-in-law: Harry Blundon. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Christine, Grates Cove, Brenda (Taha), Toronto, ON, Carol (Ralph), Grates Cove, and Lori (Jonathan), Ottawa, ON; one son: Tony (Bonnie), Grates Cove; bonus daughter: Brenda Broderick, Grates Cove; thirteen grandchildren: Neil (Melissa), Miranda, Michael (Brenda), Christian (Tiffany), Tyler (Megan), Joshua, Teri (Jamie), Casey, Jillian (Matt), Kennedy (Justin), Jania, Ali, and Amar; twelve great-grandchildren: Allison, Shawn, Natalie, Callie, Carter, Charlie, Joseph, Zoey, Haven, Amelia, Allie, and Aurora; brother: Charles (Faith) Cooper, Halifax, NS; sister: Alma Blundon, St. John’s; special friends: Cal and Vicki, Hilda, Mildred, Debbie, Florence, Verna, Louie and Marie (au revoir); also a large number of very special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Our deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and LPN students at Carbonear General Hospital, we can’t express our appreciation enough. Visitation at Grace United Church, Grates Cove on Friday, September 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, September 25, by invitation only, at 2:00 p.m. from Grace United Church, Grates Cove. Interment in Grace United Cemetery, Grates Cove.
