Charlie, Gladys and family I am so sorry to hear that Roy passed away, you know Roy and I were friends growing up and he gave me a Christmas gift one year and it is a little broach of two little fawns, I still have it tucked away in my jewelry box. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Ruby Bursey woodcock

Brittany and family, you probably don't remember me, I met you a few times at my brother Clyde & Doreen house when you were very young. You left a lasting memory with me, you had quiet the personality back in your childhood days, I'm sure you grew up to be a strong independent woman which would make your mom and dad very proud of you.
My thoughts are also with Roy's sister Glady she gave me music lessons when I was a young teen, my mom had an old pump organ and I was anxious to learn so she asked Glady to teach me, so Glady I think of you often when I'm still practicing! My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time, take care, Mabel Bursey Andrews

We only knew Roy and Ann a very short time when they were struck with such tragic events. In that short time we discovered two of the most friendly and beautiful people that we had met in our lives.
They were taken from this world way too early and our sincerest condolences to all the family and friends.

Brittany, Josh and family…my deepest condolences to you and your family. Roy and I go back a long time. We started school together in Lower Island Cove when we were 5 years old and our fathers were good friends. Although I lived away for 30 years, I have happy memories of connecting with Roy and Ann for a visit at their house, a dance at the regatta…and Roy has given me more than one cod fish, which was so appreciated. Please know you are in my thoughts at this time…May loving memories comfort you in the days ahead…..

Britany and Josh and grandchildren, your mom and dad were a part of our lives since Ann came to Lower Island Cove, as you mom and I became friends, Roy being an old buddy to Aidan. He was a quiet man, think really he was shy. Remember always saying to your mom, yes dear...not sure if he ever said no. I apologize for little contact since your mom passed, and will be thinking about you as you move forward with your lives. The grandchildren were their world, and I am sure they will remember them fondly. Condolences from Aidan and I

Brittany, Josh and family, there are no words to express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. It is hard enough to lose one parent but to lose two within a couple years must be unbearable. We will always remember Roy’s famous words ‘yes, boy’. Please accept our deepest condolences and know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers over the coming days. Doreen and Clyde
