Passed peacefully away at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, June 25, 2021, Gertrude Wagner of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; originally from Germany, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Ernest and sister: Hertha. Leaving to mourn, two sons: Lloyd (Wendy-Jon), Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Frank (Marianne), Mount Pearl; one granddaughter: Tanya; four step-grandchildren: James, Liam, Matthew, and Mikela; two great-grandchildren: Mason and Kannon; two brothers: Walter (Birgitt) Klan, Germany and Eric (Olga) Klan, Idaho, USA; one sister: Geislia (Helmut) Mitterach, Germany; special friends: Maureen and Jim Callahan, Riverhead, Harbour Grace; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Private Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion. At Gertrude’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family committal to take place at a later date at the United Church Cemetery, Harbour Grace. ****
