I suppose Marg (always Mrs. Hancock to me) knew me before I was born in a sense, being a family friend. Living in the neighbourhood I have fond memories playing with Jolene as kids in and outside the house, and even a family trip we took once to Florida. Lately, as I would come home to visit I always marvelled (and admired) at Mr. & Mrs. Hancock going up and down the hill daily, without fail, no matter the weather. And more recently of them both dancing at our own family backyard parties in the summer ( I side I never knew as a kid). She was a great one. Condolences to Harold, Scott, Blaine, Jolene and the grand kids. Cherish the good memories!

Harold, Scott, Blaine, Jolene and families,
Sorry to hear of Marg’s passing a few short days after her birthday. We were kept informed of her condition over the past weeks by many conversations with Helen. We have many great memories of the years we shared as families from the time teaching together in Victoria and with Marg being our babysitter for some time which our daughter Sheri recalls fondly. It was always a pleasure to have a chat with Marg and she never failed to ask “how is your mother doing.” Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
In sympathy and friendship,
Milton and Joan

Sending our sincere condolences to the Hancock and Hiscock families. Both Scott and I certainly will miss seeing both Marg and Harold walking past our house everyday. Marg would always walk about 50 feet ahead of Harold. She would stop and have a little chat while waiting for him. I partially walk the same route as Marg. Cherish all your beautiful memories. Rest easy.

Harold, Scott, Blaine, Jolene and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you all as you celebrate your Mother’s remarkable like. She was a friend of my parents and neighbor for 50 years. Whenever I think of Marg, I think of impromptu trips to Victoria for custard cones in the Summer and happily busing Jolene and me to school and swim team practice, no matter the weather. She had a smile that would brighten even the dreariest of mornings. More recently when we would come home I enjoyed her visits to share updates on her family & Grandkids. It was obvious how proud she was of each of them and how fiercely she loved you all. We are all missing Marg along with you. With heartfelt sympathy, Sherry Warford, Peter & Rowan Adams, Toronto, ON

Uncle Harold, Scott,Blaine,Jolene and families:
My heart is broken to hear of Aunt Margie’s passing, when I was home this summer she said to me ... now Glenda make sure you comes to see me before you go back, I did get that opportunity to hug her, kiss her and to tell her that I loved her. Aunt Margie always held a special place in my heart, I remember the time when I was young and went to Toronto with her , Uncle Harold , Scott and Blaine, we stayed in a place on Raglan Avenue ,those were the times when letter writing was popular.Aunt Margie would call me a lot when mom passed just to see how I was doing, I always loved visiting her, having a glass of wine, a meal, a few laughs and of course she would give me some item that she had knitted at the time.Aunt Margie You have now joined your heavenly family , I will forever hold my memories of you dear to my heart. RIP beautiful lady XO

Harold, Scott, Blaine, Jolene and family, our thoughts are of Rusted Place and the many memories we have of our friend and neighbour for 50 years. Whenever I came home to visit, Marg always dropped by for tea, cookies and a chat. Whenever I think of Marg, I think of her and Harold walking 5 kms every day no matter the weather, I think of her at Robin’s donuts enjoying coffee with her friends and I think of how much she loved to dance with Harold. I know my parents will miss her deeply. Thankfully our memories will keep her close.
