Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Ernest J. Steele of St. John’s; formerly of Northern Bay, age 91 years.
Predeceased by daughter: Noreen Taylor; parents: Kenneth and Fannie; brothers: Warren, Harold, Roy, and Bill; sister: Gwen Hoskins.
Leaving to mourn, one son: Ralph (Christine), Ontario; five grandchildren: Justin (Ashley), Kyle (Rebecca), Shane (Jaime), Tara-Lynn, Shelby (Brent); eight great-grandchildren; special niece: Janice (Rudy) Stanley, Clarenville; also a number of other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay, followed by funeral service at Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay, by invitation only. Interment in the United Cemetery, Northern Bay.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the United Cemetery Fund, Northern Bay, PO Box 54, Lower Island Cove, NL, A0A 2W0.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Ernest J.
