Obituary of Shirley Batten

Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, September 24, 2020, Shirley Batten of Carbonear, age 73 years.
Predeceased by parents: Michael and Mary Ann Butt; brothers: Kevin and Michael; sisters: Ella Day, Dorothy Noseworthy, and Mary Power.
Leaving to mourn, husband: Robert 'Bob'; two daughters: Cynthia (Brent) Davis, Carbonear, and Annette (Steve) Powell, Winnipeg, MB; two sons: Robert 'Bob', Fort McMurray, AB, and Carl (Tina), Carbonear; eight grandchildren: Chelsea (Dennis), Kaylee, Cody, Alex, Steven, Berlin, Michael, and Rebecca; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear. Funeral service will take place at Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Carbonear by invitation only. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear, at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John's, NL, A1B 3V6.
