So very sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. It was only a short few weeks ago i was enjoying his company with the rest of the family on the beach at Flat Water Pond Park. Over the last few years I have had the pleasure and honour to have gotten to know Dave, and have had many wonderful memories with him both in Victoria with Tamara, Brad & Noah and in Springdale at Aunt Vivian & Uncle Hank’s. His humour and kindness was so appreciated and was greatly enjoyed and welcomed. To Debbie, Brad, Tamara, Noah & Breanna I am heartbroken for your lost. In your time of grief I pray that God will hold you close and provide you with the comfort and peace that only he can provide. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.
Sending you all my love,

My sincere condolences to the Parsons family. I worked with Dave at Persalvic, and we had many conversations. I remember him telling me how much he loved coming to school and that it never felt like work to him. This was evident in the postivity and kindness he showed toward everyone he encountered. Students and staff loved Dave and the joy he brought with him. My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. Dave was a very special person, and he will be greatly missed.

We are so very sorry to hear of the sad loss of such a wonderful man, who touched so many lives. From my years of working with Dave, it was easy to see what a pleasant, kind and caring man he was. His family was the world to him and the students in his care always recieved nothing but the best from him. Dave not only got to know the students and staff but also their families. He always took a genuine interest in each family member and would ask how they were doing. We loved seeing him at the Mall and having a chat, we will miss that. We know he will be greatly missed by so many. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.

Debbie, Bradley, Brianna, Harold, Melvin, Winnie, family and friends:
Please accept our sincere and deepest condolences on Dave's passing. You have been in our thoughts, our hearts and our prayers all this past week. We are heart broken by your loss of one so dear. Dave was such a loving person who was a friend to all. So easy going. You could depend on him to help with anything. You only had to ask. He had a great love for music and song and we were privileged to have been able to share that with him. He was the little man with a big voice and an even bigger heart. I was fortunate and thankful for the time we shared in our work as choir members . Dave was so easy going. always so enthusiastic and eager, and put his heart and soul in all he did. Truly a good and faithful servant.
Dave was loved by all and will be dearly missed by all. His family, his community and his church. Take comfort in the wonderful years you have shared and your many cherished memories. He has left you, his family with a wonderful legacy of love and faith. Heaven has gained another beautiful angel. Fly high Dave. We'll miss you.

Debbie, Bradley, Brianna, Harold, Melvin, Winnie, family and friends:
It is with deep sadness that the members of the Victoria United Church Men's and Joint Choirs express to you our sincere heartfelt condolences on Dave's passing. There are no words to describe our sorrow. Dave was such a loving and caring person who always greeted you with a smile, a hug and an encouraging word. A man of great faith, his love for God, his family and his church was always evident and shone through like a bright light. Dave was always eager and loved to help out in any way he could from carrying my music bag, handing out the music sheets, arranging chairs and without fail, staying behind on practice nights to ensure the lights were off, the door was locked and that I got to my car safely. A true gentleman. Through his great sense of humour, Dave bought many smiles with his little jokes and teasing. One of Dave's biggest attributes was his love of singing, he truly loved to sing and one only had to hear him to know he sang from straight from the heart.
Dave was a wonderful dedicated and committed member of our Men's and Joint Choir who has now been promoted to God's heavenly angelic choir.
Rest easy and sing with the angels Dave.

My deepest sympathy in your loss, you guys have had so much heartache. So saddened to hear the tragic news. Dave was my " school buddy" , as he worked in my classroom many years while I was teaching at Persalvic. He was loved by all kids and enjoyed joking around with the kids. Dave always said he would retire when I did, but he kept going back, for just another year. He loved his work and the relationships he had at school with the kids, staff and parents. He was my cousin, but also my friend, he greeted me every morning early and helped me with the Breakfast Program, couldn't have done it without him. We chatted all the time, I loved hearing updates on the family, especially Brianna, and little Noah, who he loved so dearly. Dave had such great faith, love of church, and of course his singing in praise. Such a love of life and family. He will be missed terribly by many who love him.
God rest, Dave, you are with your God in heaven.

Will and I are so saddened over Dave's sudden passing. Can't put into words what we feel. Our hearts go out to his family, But Dave left this world doing what he loved most, singing gospel songs. He truly loved his family, his church and his job.
Over the years we worked together in several schools and our friendship was everlasting. Dave loved to tease and carry on. always laughing. I'm certainly going to miss that.
A faithful servant to his church, always there to lend a helping hand. Never knew how to say no.
Yes he'll be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

To Debbie and the Parsons Family; I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Dave, He spoke to us at the drive in worship service Saturday evening and he spoke of his mother, how she passed when he was very young but he said, “I’ll see her one of those days”. He was adamant about that. Then it was his turn to sing, and what a song he was singing when he took sick could not have been any better, and it was “I’ll Fly Away, oh Glory, I’ll fly away, when I die, Hallelujah bye and bye, I’ll fly away”.
In these trying times, you have precious memories to hold too and get you all through this time and the coming days and months. Praying God’s blessings on your family at this time. Sylvia

Debbie, Brianna, Bradley, Tamara and Noah. To say Dave will be missed at Persalvic is indeed an understatement. Either whistling through the corridor, stopping in at the office for a chat ( I must say most of the time be was proudly boasting about something one of them done from Briannas great marks at school to Noah and knowing his colours or Debbie getting the painting done and having everything done as he would put it) he was so so proud of his family. He loved our children at Persalvic and each year we would ask when he was retiring and each year in June he would say “ I think I might come back for one more year”. I don’t think he ever would have retired. he surely loved coming to school. He was always early to school and when he was due to come back in sept he was always down a couple of days early to make sure we were all back at it and he was eagerly waiting his time to come back.
Rest easy Mr Parsons. I will surely miss you. Heaven has gained another angel.

I have no words to say how shocked I am to hear about Dave. I loved our chats whenever we'd meet. He was so proud of his family and their accomplishments. Tammy and Bradley were his life, but Brianna and Noah were his gems. He couldn't say enough about how he cherished them and the glow on his face while he talked about things they did to make him proud. He tried to get me to start walking with him last year, but after a few trips I just stopped going . He said it was his way of clearing his mind and enjoying the scenery of our community. We all know he loved to walk. Well Buddy, your journey here is done and I hope your walking on streets of Gold. Rest easy my friend.
