Obituary of Brendan O'Leary
Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, Brendan O'Leary of Kingston, age 76 years. Predeceased by parents: Frank and Gertrude; brothers: Jack and Lawrence; brother-in-law: Archibald Keeping. Leaving to mourn, spouse: Jean Canning; children: Debbie (Peter), Brian (Kelly), Brenda (Scott), and Paula, all of Carbonear, Gregory, Mt. Pearl, and Trudy (Craig), Kingston; step-son: Kenneth (Roxanne) Flight, Small Point; nine grandchildren: Rebecca, Angeline, Jessica, Julia, Rachel, Jacob, Sara, Marcus, and Darcy; step-grandchildren: Abigail (Ben) and Scott (Emma); two brothers: Ronald (Linda), Blackhead and Bill (Ruth), Adam’s Cove; two sisters: Helen (Russell) White, Doyles and Trudy Keeping, Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Ada (Peter) Withers, Seal Cove and Marion O'Leary, Carbonear; special nephew: Paul O'Leary; Bren’s special nurse: Amanda Halfyard; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Friday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Kingston. Inurnment in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kingston, PO Box 79, Northern Bay, NL, A0A 3B0.
