Obituary of Charles H. Piercey
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, Charles H. Piercey (B.A., B.A.Ed, M.A.) of Carbonear, age 73 years. Predeceased by parents: Arthur and Rhoda Maude; parents-in-law: Gordon and Olive Banton; wife: Brenda; sister: Miriam (Marvin) Beeson. Leaving to mourn, wife: Daphne; son: Michael (Heather), Vancouver, BC; step-son: Clifford (Ashley) Collins, and children: Jack and Jada, Spaniard’s Bay; step-daughter: Deanne (Stephen) Chipman, and children: Brendan and Alex, Spaniard’s Bay; brother: Francis (Marina), Winterton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Shirley (Joseph) Abbott, Clarenville, Florence (Nicholas) Coombs, Spaniard’s Bay, Ruth (Ken) George, Heart’s Content, Cecil Banton (Sherry), Winterton, and Dawn (Bruce) Weaver, Sherwood Park, AB; members of Brenda's extended family; Godchildren: Lori Mulroney and Matthew Symonds, also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Poppy Fund, Branch 23, Royal Canadian Legion, P.O. Box 544, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1B9 or St. James Anglican Church, P.O. Box 915, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C4.
