Obituary of Edward McCarthy

Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, Edward McCarthy of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 67 years. Predeceased by three infant children; parents: James and Irene, Jack and Veronica Andrews; parents-in-law: Leo and Mary Sullivan; brothers-in-law: Harold, Clarence, Ronald, and Michael Sullivan; sisters-in-law: Catherine Petten and Cynthia Sullivan. Leaving to mourn, wife: Alice; one daughter: Cynthia (Patrick), Riverhead, Harbour Grace; one son: Colin (Jennifer), Riverhead, Harbour Grace; two grandchildren: Kalan and Rachael; three brothers: Dennis (Ann), Harbour Grace, George (Melvina), and Andy, both of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; three sisters: Rosemary (Clarence, deceased) Lynch, Bishop’s Cove, Valerie Andrews (Gary Bursey), Bell Island and Marie Arnold, Ottawa, ON; brothers-in-law: Leo (Mary) Sullivan, Gerald (Mavis) Sullivan, Dermott (Judy) Sullivan, Joseph (Judy) Sullivan, and Lorne Petten, all of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; sisters-in-law: Ellen (Bert) Morgan, Harbour Grace South, Diane (Gerald) Callahan, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Elaine (Jim) Porter, Port de Grave, Loretta and Donna Sullivan, both of Harbour Grace, and Primrose Sullivan, Ontario; also a large number of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Friday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, January 13 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.
