Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, Maisie M. Delaney of Carbonear, age 57 years. Predeceased by father: Joseph Hancott; brothers: Wesley, Dwayne, and Andy. Leaving to mourn, husband: Francis; four daughters: Kathleen (Keith) Husk, St. John’s, April (Leroy) Chaulk, Carmanville, Amelia George (Craig), St. John’s, and Amanda Moyles (Susan), Corner Brook; mother: Ethel Hancott, Frederickton; two step-daughters: Celeste (Stephen) Loughrey, Ajax, ON, and Raelene (Mark) Crocker, Acton, ON; one step-son: Patrick (Jennifer) Delaney, Ontario; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two sisters: Melissa (Shawn) Goodyear, Deadman’s Bay and Sarah (Eugene) Babychuk, Alberta; brothers-in-law: Philip Delaney, Carbonear, Daniel (Patsy) Delaney, Gull Island, and Joseph (Beverley) Delaney, Gull Island; sister-in-law: Christine (Harvey) Button, Old Perlican; special friend: Marion Tobin, Western Bay; also a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Wednesday, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 noon. Funeral service to take place on Friday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Maisie M. Delaney Memorial Fund c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
