Obituary of David G. Parsons

PARSONS, David G. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, July 15, 2011, David G. Parsons of Victoria, age 67 years. Predeceased by parents: Reginald and Violet and sister: Clara Parsons. Leaving to mourn, wife: Laura; four sons: Reginald and David Jr., both of Ontario, Eddie O'Brien (Tina), Perry's Cove and Preston (Brian), Victoria; two daughters: Denise Langer (Craig), Shearstown and Jennifer Trotter (Darryl), Ontario; four grandchildren: Sean, Samantha, Cole and Kayla; one great-granddaughter: Amya; eight sisters: Margaret Penney (Walt), Ontario, Melvina Morrissey (Jim) and Violet White (George), both of Victoria, Victoria Cole (Jim), Alberta, Gladys Parsons (Dave), St. John's, Shirley King (Dave), Harbour Grace, Hazel Parsons, Mackinsons and Bernice Parsons (Allison), New Brunswick; four brothers: Reginald Parsons (Sandra), St. John's, Roy Parsons (Shirley), John Parsons (Cynthia) and Kevin Parsons (Vicki), all of Victoria; a large number of nieces and nephews; a very special little homecare worker: Breanna; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear with visitation hours by request of the family on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the David G. Parsons Memorial Fund.
