JACKSON, Donald Sr. - Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, May 5, 2011, Donald Jackson Sr. of Victoria, age 76 years. Predeceased by: wife: Muriel; infant daughter; parents: Elias and Elsie Jackson; sister: Susan Mconnell. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Sandra (Brian) Slade, Cynthia (Joe) Crawford and Ivy (Randy) Moores, all of Victoria; five sons: Donnie (Sheila), Victoria, Winston (Bonnie), Upper Island Cove, Terry (Elizabeth), Sammy and Dennis (Sherry), all of Victoria; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; special friend: Annie Byrne, Riverhead, Hr. Grace; two brothers: Chester (Yvonne) and Gordon (Florence), both of Cavendish; two sisters: Emma (Walter) Brown and Wavey (Randy) Critch, both of Cavendish; members of the Clarke family; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
