RYAN, Lillian J. (nee Shanahan) - January 6, 1917 - April 4, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, April 4, 2011, Lillian J. Ryan of Riverhead, Hr. Grace, age 94 years. Predeceased by: husband, Bernard; infant daughter, Ellen; brothers: Thomas and Nicholas; sisters: Nellie, Mona, Mary, Angela and Marcella. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Angela (Lawrence) Mercer, St. John's, Phyllis (John) Pretty, Chapel Arm, Brenda (Michael) Parmenter, St. John's and Helen (Alex) Lindsay, Delhaven, NS; three sons: Shannon (Margaret), St. John's, Bernard (Christine), St. John's and William (Renee), Riverhead, Hr. Grace; eight grandchildren: Larry (Elaine), John (Bernadine), Perry (Paula), Tracey (Glenn), Suzanne (Allan), Bernard, Daniel and Jeffrey; nine great-grandchildren: Roxanne, Amy, Jenna, Riley, Ryan, Laura, Maria, Ethan and Bella; also a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral Mass to take place on Wednesday, April 6 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
